The Copenhagen Dietis a specificmenufor 13 days that must be strictly adhered to. The Copenhagen diet completely rules out the consumption of all kinds of alcohol, sweets and grain products. You eat three meals a day, with breakfast between 8:00 and 9:00, lunch between 12:00 and 14:00, and dinner before 18:00. Only 30-minute deviations from these indications are allowed.

Depending on your needs, you can change the lunch and dinner menu, but only within one day. Any other deviation from the diet - snacking between meals, adding dishes to the menu, is forbidden and makes it necessary to restart the diet. However, it must not be done earlier than after 3 months.

While following the Copenhagen diet, you should drink at least 1.5 liters of still mineral water each day. After completing the Copenhagen diet it is a good idea to switch to a low calorie diet (e.g. 1000 calories diet) to avoid possible yo-yo effect.

The Copenhagen diet can be repeated after two years at the earliest. The Copenhagen diet is a very restrictive diet - although it is effective in helping you lose weight, it causes quite a few side effects. Remember that the Copenhagen diet is low in calories (meals do not meet the daily caloric requirement), low in minerals, vitamins and complex carbohydrates.
