The village of Piaski is located farthest to the east, a few more kilometers behind Krynica Morska. Four kilometers from it is the border with Russia. The first name of the town was Nowa Karczma and it came from the fact that in 1429 the Teutonic commander Henry Holt granted the rights to the innkeeper Hannos, who built an inn here. The Mennonite cemetery from the 18th century has been preserved to this day. Currently, it is the most virgin area of the entire spit - with a clean beach (also for naturists) and forest-covered dunes.
