Pilates for men is an excellent way to improve endurance and harmonious development of a proportional body. Calling pilates a female form of activity is a mistake, the more so as the creator of this training was a man who successfully tested the exercises on himself. Although Pilates does not squeeze the seventh sweat out of the trainer and the intensity and dynamics do not count in it, it is a training that effectively strengthens strength and has a positive effect on sexual performance.

There are many reasons whymen should practice pilatesthere are many reasons: it adds energy, shapes the belly radiator, improves strength and sexual performance. Pilates is also a type of exercise involving all parts of the body and muscles. The secret of the enormous success of this type of training is that it activates even small and deep muscles, which are not visible at first glance, but strengthening them is of great importance for strength and flexibility.

Pilates - male effects

Looking at the many advantages of Pilates, you can say that it is an ideal sport for men. They will benefit from the training as much as women, so it is worth abandoning stereotypes and stop treating pilates as a girl's occupation.

The universality of pilates results from the fact that training involves the entire body, including the deep muscles. For this reason, pilates can be one of the training elements of any athlete, no matter what discipline they are practicing. Strength, endurance and flexibility are useful in any sport. However, the most convincing arguments for men are:

Abdominal heater.Pilates exercises focus on training the abdominal muscles. In most exercises, proper abdominal muscle tone is the starting position for subsequent movements. Strengthening the so-called core of strength will allow you to assume any position and maintain balance in them. In addition, the abdomen is a stabilizer of the spine and pelvis - elements very important in exercise. For this reason, many exercises for the abdominal muscles have been developed in Pilates. Exercises activate all muscles in this area, including the smaller and deep ones, which is why systematic training perfectly shapes the abdomen.

Muscle proportions.Pilates helps shape the right figure. Some workouts distort the proportions and, for example, build up the upper muscles too muchchest, making the silhouette look caricatural. Pilates exercises will help you get a well-sculpted body by engaging and focusing on less developed muscles.

Energy.Exercise gives you energy. It is not an exercise sport, focused on enormous physical effort. It is not as exhausting as any other type of vigorous exercise. Pilates allows you to maintain energy and thus does not weaken or strain the body.

Strength and endurance.Strengthening muscles with pilates makes them stronger. Exercising even hidden muscles increases the body's power and improves its endurance. Regular exercise improves your condition and is a good support for strength training.

Sexual performance.Pilates, by engaging the pelvic muscles, greatly improves them. It also affects the Kegel muscles, which are responsible, among other things, for controlling ejaculation. Such a skill certainly improves sex life, because it allows you to prolong intercourse. It's no secret that pilates also affects the condition of the penis and extends sexual performance by several years.

He alth.Pilates has an analgesic effect. It strengthens the back and abdominal muscles and thus relieves the spine. Back pain and overload are often favored by, for example, long work sitting at a desk or manual work. The pro-he alth effects of pilates are appreciated, among others, by golfers who strain their spine with a forced position while playing.

Pilates - how are exercises for women different from men's exercises?

While women in Pilates are looking for relaxation and an improvement in well-being and he alth, men in this field of sport are primarily looking for a way to improve strength and endurance. Although there is no distinction between female and male exercises in Pilates, knowing that men love strength exercises, it can be expected that training for a man will be more demanding and strongly focused on strengthening. Relaxation and tranquility will be of secondary importance.

Pilates for men - sample exercises

Pilates push-ups.They are practiced on the knees. We lie down on the floor on our stomach, bend our legs at the knees so that the calves are perpendicular to the ground. In this position, we perform push-ups, but with great emphasis on breathing - by bending our arms, we take a breath. As we straighten our arms, we exhale. The abdomen must be tense all the time. We inhale with our nose, exhale with our lips.

Corkscrew.Lie down on your back with your legs bent upwards (at an angle of 90 degrees) so that your calves are parallel to the floor. We try to straighten our legs by doingdeep breath at the same time. Then, with the straightened legs, draw a circle in the air (to the right) and then lower the legs to the floor. The next time we change the drawing direction of the circle.

Side Plank. We lie down on the right side on the floor. Place the right arm perpendicular to the body - the elbow at shoulder height. While inhaling the air, we place our legs - left over right. While exhaling, lift your hips up on your right forearm. A hand resting on the floor keeps the body in a straight line. We stay in the position and breathe evenly for a minute. Then we lower our hips and lie on our side again. We repeat the exercise on the other side.

Pilates for men - complementary training

Exercising pilates is the perfect complement to proper training, which is known to athletes who have attended such classes at least once. Pilates can be used in two ways. You can treat pilates as part of your training plan and, for example, take part in exercises twice a week. You can also use the knowledge about pilates simply in the training itself. The principle of proper breathing or tensing muscles will be very useful during routine exercises, e.g. push-ups. Performing them in accordance with the commandments of pilates, i.e. exhaling and inhaling the air at the right moment and controlling individual movements, makes them more precise, which significantly increases the effectiveness of these exercises.

The introduction of pilates elements to everyday training, e.g. runners or rugby players, allows you to improve your results thanks to better dynamics, coordination of movements and balance.

Pilates is also an ideal solution for men who have been injured and cannot participate in normal training. In order to prevent a decline in form and weakness during convalescence, it is recommended to practice pilates. It is an ideal form of rehabilitation, e.g. for footballers who, thanks to Pilates, can take care of the condition of their muscles without endangering their he alth. Practicing pilates allows you to return to normal training faster.

Pilates for men - personal training

For the benefits of Pilates, let go of your prejudices. If, after all, the problem for a man is to participate in classes and publicly perform Pilates "extensions", there is also a solution. Pilates can be practiced alone at home, although training under the supervision of a trainer is certainly more effective. Fortunately, everything can be reconciled here as well. There are many individual Pilates training offers - one-on-one with a trainer. This is the best option if the prejudices and shame are stronger than the desire to strengthen the body with this form of exercise.
