Shuffle dance - how to dance?

Shuffle dance is performed to rhythmic electronic music, which gives the impression of an extremely lively and joyful dance. The movements and steps in shuffle dance are based primarily on the work of the feet - steps are performed alternately, starting with the heels and the toes. This dance is full of interesting transitions and steps, such as the famous "running man", which imitates a smooth running in place or the T step.

The said step T was the first and main step in shuffle. It consists in moving the heel sideways, standing on one leg, which also twists to the sides. Over time, slides, shoulder pumps, kicks and spins were added to this dance.

Shuffle is not only about dancing the legs! The arms and hands also work in this dance and should be coordinated with the movements of the legs. The hands with their movements interpret the rhythm of the music.

Leg dance - this is how I often call myself shuffle dance in our country, it consists in repeatedly shuffling the feet in and out, while simultaneously working the hands up, down and sideways to the beat of the beat.

It's a full body dance! You can get really tired with it, and jumping for a few minutes will finish many people. In addition to shuffling your feet, other steps are also important - 360-degree rotations, slides, jumps, cross steps and bumps.

Some dancers also add hip movements, waves and squats to the shuffle, adding variety to the tone of the dance. Some shuffle dance shows are really effective and impressive!

Interestingly, some dancers pour slippery fluid on the floor, stick tapes to their shoes, or buy special neon shuffle dance shoes with a soft sole to make it easier to perform the smooth foot movements characteristic of this style.

It's important to realize that shuffle dance is not a choreography! This dance style is performed spontaneously and the whole arrangement is improvised. It is danced as it is felt, without prior arrangements or restrictions. This dance is a languageour body, and each shuffle dancer adds a piece of himself to it and shows his individual and distinct style.
