The paleo diet by Dr. Loren Cordain, the most popular slimming diet at the moment, is rooted in prehistory. This is not a proposition for vegetarians - the basis of the paleo diet is meat and fish. Check what the paleo menu looks like.
The paleo dietallows you to eat all lean meats, fish and seafood, all fruits, and non-starchy vegetables. However, it is advisable to avoid grains, legumes, dairy products, processed products, sugar.
Paleo menushould include:
- relatively large amount of animal protein compared to a typical slimming diet
- good carbohydrates from fruits and vegetables, not cereals, starchy tubers
- lots of fiber from low-starchy fruits and vegetables
- moderate amount of fat, with a predominance of good (mono- and polyunsaturated) and almost equal amounts of omega-3 and omega-6 fats

Paleo diet: protein is the basis
The paleo diet is high in protein, so the still quite exotic seafood (mussels, mussels, crabs, shrimps), as well as completely familiar meats (sirloin steak, lean beef and pork) or poultry ( turkey and skinless chicken breast) or offal (chicken or beef liver, beef thymus, cerebellum, beef hearts). Also, do not forget about fish (halibut, tuna), and eggs, although they are not high-protein products, you can eat safely (especially those with a higher content of omega-3 fatty acids).
