It is supposed to instantly lose weight and counteract back pain. All you need to do the exercise is a regular towel and a piece of free space. It is neither tiring nor difficult - it can be performed by anyone whose spine has not been diagnosed by the doctor.

The Fukutsudzi method - what is it?

Doctor Toshiki Fukutsudzi during his many years of medical practice noticed that obese people have an incorrect position of the pelvis in relation to the spine. This causes the belly to be pushed forward and makes it optically larger. Using an exercise developed by a Japanese physician, you can correct the position of the pelvis - when it returns to its correct position, the abdominal muscles will automatically tense and the abdomen will become flatter. In addition, the Fukutsudzi method perfectly relaxes the back muscles and restores the physiological curves of the spine. Thanks to this, it removes tension from the loins and relieves pain in the lower back.

The Fukutsudzi method - who can use it?

The Fukutsudzi method is aimed at people who would like to get rid of their protruding belly. Both obese and slightly overweight people can experience this problem, and in both cases regular exercise should help. Weight is not a criterion for its effectiveness.

It should be remembered that if we have diagnosed defects or degeneration of the spine, we should first consult a physiotherapist or orthopedist who will assess whether the exercise is safe for us. Also people who suffer from severe back painof unknown origin should first consult a specialist.

Fukutsudzi method - Japanese slimming exercise step by step

Do this exercise on a mat or carpet. Do not use it on too hard surfaces (e.g. bare floor) or too soft surfaces (e.g. sofa, bed).

Here is an instruction on how to do an exercise using the Fukutsudzi method. Before you start, prepare a cotton towel, which you will roll into a tight roll, at least 40 cm long and 7-10 cm thick. To prevent it from unfolding during exercise, wrap it around it and tie it with a thin string. Then follow the instructions:

  1. Sit on the floor with straight legs. Put the roller behind your back. It should lie close to the loins.
  2. Taking care that the roller does not move, lie on your back. The rolled up towel should be under the loinsat the level of the navel-this is very important!
  3. Extend your legs andBring your two big toes together . Place your heels outwards.
  4. Bring your arms behind your head and bring your palms together so thatare touching with your little fingersand your thumbs are pointing outwards. Lengthen your spine by pulling your arms upwards.

Breathe deeply and evenly while exercising. Do not tense your muscles, try to relax as much as possible. Stay in this position for 5 minutes - this is the optimal amount of time needed for the first effects to appear. You can exercise a maximum of 10 minutes a day. Repeat this exercise 3 times a week.

After the exercise is finished, you may feel discomfort in the lower part of your spine. To reduce discomfort, after removing the towel from under your back, it is best to lie on the flat floor for a while and relax your loins. Get up slowly, turning on your side first and then coming back to a standing position.

Fukutsudzi method - effects

Performing the exercise only once may reduce the waist size by 3 centimeters or even more. To find out if the Japanese weight loss method really works, it's a good idea to measure your abdominal circumference before and after exercise, and then compare the results. Some also observe that the Fukutsudzi method lengthens the figure and increases height. This is probably the result of an intense stretching of the spine while lying down.

Regular use of the Fukutsudzi method gives the following effects:

The Fukutsudzi method can visually flatten the stomach and make the figure slimmer, but it will not cause fat loss around the waist. To really lose weight and slim down your stomach and waist, you need to exercise regularly and follow a low-calorie diet. The best results are achieved with exercises for the abdominal muscles combined with cardio training, e.g. a stepper, cross trainer, swimming, running. Among strengthening workouts, it is worth choosing one that is based on many types of crunches: straight, oblique, on a bar, on a bench or for deep muscles.
