What is dusting in June?In June, the spores of microscopic fungi, sorrel, plantain and quinoa are dusting. However, in this period, the most common causes of allergies are grass and nettle pollen, because practically all over Poland their concentration in the air is very high for 30 days without exception.

June is the month when elderberry blooms, so people who are allergic to its pollen should also start to follow the pollen calendar carefully. June is a difficult time also for microscopic fungi allergic to spores, because then their concentration in the air increases rapidly.

What is polluting in June?

Grass and nettle pollen

Important information for those allergic to grass pollen and nettles! In June there is the peak of pollination of these plants. Everyone who is allergic should watch out for grass pollen, which is the most common cause of seasonal allergic ailments in Poland, because this month their concentration in the air will be very high almost all over the country.

In addition, the symptoms of allergy will be aggravated by the pollen allergens of rye blooming (which is also grass, but cultivated). Therefore, people allergic to grass pollen should avoid flowering fields and meadows, especially from 5 to 8 and between 17 and 19, because then there is a two-fold increase in the concentration of these allergens in the air.

In June, the safest place for allergy sufferers will be the sea beach, where the wind blowing from the sea brings pollen-free air. You can also go for a walk in the higher parts of the mountains (above 600 m above sea level), where the concentration of grass pollen is still low. Similar recommendations apply to those who are allergic to nettlein addition, they should avoid wet forests. Fortunately, there are fewer of these, as nettle is rarely the cause of allergies.

People allergic to pollen should remember about sunglasses (preferably with wide temples by the lenses), which will protect the eyes against the intrusion of allergens, and also about a head covering that will prevent pollen on the hair from being brought home.

It should be remembered that the intensity of pollination of individual plants in different parts of the country depends, among others, on from changing weather conditions. It is worth knowing that during and immediately after rainfall, the air is free of pollen, so in addition to the pollen calendar, it is also worth following the weather forecast.

In individual years, pollen seasons may differ significantly from the multi-year average. Therefore, you should follow current messages for allergy sufferers, which are available, among others, on the website of the Environmental Allergen Research Center.

Rye

Rye blooms in May and during the first 10 days of June, but the symptoms of allergy with varying intensity may appear even until the end of July. Therefore, people with an inhalation allergy to this grain should avoid flowering fields for the next two months. It is worth knowing that a person allergic to rye pollen may experience an allergic reaction in the form of abdominal pain, diarrhea or vomiting after eating grains of other cereals.

Black without

Black lilac blooms from May to June and dusts the most heavily in the last month, especially during the first twenty days.

Common plantain

Plantain blooms from April to September and throughout this period it is the least annoying to allergy sufferers from south-western and north-eastern parts of Poland, because there throughout spring and summer the concentration of its pollen in the air is low. In other parts of the country, a slight increase in the concentration of plantain pollen occurs at the end of May, and the increased concentration lasts throughout June until the turn of August and September.

It is worth knowing that there are 3 species of plantain in Poland. Two species bloom in May and June and one in July. However, the concentrations of its pollen in Poland never reach high values.

Sorrel

Sorrel blooms from May to June and throughout this period it teases all allergy sufferers equally. This last month, the concentration of pollen in the air is average.

Komosa

In June, the concentration of quinoa pollen is very low in most parts of the country. Allergy sufferers from the central and southern parts of the country are in the best situationthey will not feel its effects at all, because in these areas the quinoa does not dust in June.

Spores of microscopic (mold) fungi

These are mushrooms of the genus Cladosporium and Alternaria. The concentration of spores of fungi of the genus Cladosporium increases rapidly in the last decade of May and is very high throughout June until the end of September.

Bad news also for those allergic to spores of the genus Alternaria - the last decade of June begins the several-month aggressive effect of these mushrooms on allergy sufferers throughout Poland. The intensity of their pollen pollen will weaken only in the second decade of September.
