Throughout August, the concentration of spores of the fungusCladosporiumis high in all regions of the country. As every year, they will only disappear from the air at the beginning of… November. The spores of the fungusAlternariahave a shorter pollination period - the last decade of August ends the several-month aggressive effect of these fungi on allergy sufferers throughout Poland. From the beginning of September, the intensity of their pollen dust decreases.
Mugwort
Throughout August, the concentration of mugwort pollen in the eastern and northern parts of the country is high. The same applies to the south-western and north-eastern parts of Poland. On the other hand, mugwort pollen in the central part of the countrycause allergic reactions in the first two decades of the month - then their concentration is high. Only at the end of August, their concentration decreases to the average.
Nettle
Nettle, which blooms from June to August, produces enormous amounts of pollen but is rarely allergenic. In Mazovia and Pomerania, during the first decade of August, the concentration of nettle pollen in the air is high, and for the last two it is average. Traditionally, nettle pollen bothers allergy sufferers from central Poland the most, where during the first two decades of August their concentration is very high, and only in the last two decades - average.
In turn, allergy sufferers from the southern part of the country and from the north-eastern part of Poland struggle with nettle pollen only until around August 20. In the last decade of the month, no nettle pollen in the air is observed in this area.
Grasses
Grass pollen, which is the most common cause of seasonal allergic ailments in Poland, in August slightly annoys allergy sufferers from the central part of the country and from the south-west and north-eastern parts of Poland. In these areas the concentration of grass pollen is low.
On the other hand, in Mazovia and Pomerania, during the first two decades of August, no grass pollen is observed in the air. They only appear in the last decade of the month. It should be remembered that in parks and meadows there is a two-fold increase in the concentration of these allergens in the air in the morning, from 5 to 8 and between 17 a 19.
Ambrosia
In Poland, ambrosia begins to bloom in the second half of August, and its pollen remains in the air until October. However, in August its presence will not be noticed by allergy sufferers from the south-western and north-eastern parts of Poland, because in these regions it does not dusty. In central Poland as well as in Pomerania and Mazovia, its pollen in low concentrations will appear only in the last decade of the month.
Common plantain
Plantain blooms from April to September. Throughout this period, the pollen concentration of this plant in the air does not change and is low.
Common Sorrel
Sorrel is the most dusty from July to the end of September, but in August it stops bothering allergy sufferers. In the eastern and northern parts of the country, the concentration of sorrel pollen is low throughout the month.
In central Poland, sorrel pollen only until August 20 - in the last decade, its pollen is not present in the air. In turn, in the south-western and north-eastern parts of Poland, the first ten days of the month closes the sorrel pollen season in this region.
Komosa
At the beginning of August, its concentration in the air is average throughout Poland. Only in the last two decades of the month it will decrease.
