I'm 31 years old. Less than a month ago, I found out that he had Lyme disease. At the age of 16, I was bitten by a tick. It's the only one I've ever seen. The attending physician recommended a two-week course of antibiotics to help. Unfortunately, two weeks after the treatment, the disease came back after treatment. I know that this is a serious disease and my symptoms are starting to worry me seriously. These are: erythema, dizziness and headaches, small itchy blisters appear on the skin from time to time, toothache, muscle pain, bone pain, joint swelling that itches and hurt, limb cramps, short and painful stinging inside the ear, temporary visual disturbances and hearing, not all at once and not all at once. However, there are other symptoms that rarely go away are: distraction, constant fatigue, back pain, heavy breathing and quite severe pains under the left shoulder blade, problems with memory and words expression. Is only antibiotic treatment sufficient? what are the complications of this disease?
Hello,
Lyme disease treatment is de alt with by specialist clinics usually located at infectious diseases hospitals - such a facility is called the Tick Disease Clinic, and you should get its address in your local NHF department. You should ask your attending physician to issue a referral to such a clinic, because due to the chronic and often recurring nature of Lyme disease, it is advisable to be under the constant care of a facility specialized in the treatment of this disease.
