- blueberries regulate cholesterol
Berries are also recommended for people with elevated cholesterol levels, because the substances contained in them strengthen the capillaries, making them impermeable to cholesterol.

- Blueberries have antibacterial properties

It is very important that the daily diet does not run out of foods that contain antioxidants that destroy free radicals responsible for the development of cancer.
Antioxidants also have a positive effect on the condition of the eye capillaries and accelerate the regeneration of the pigment present in the retina of the eye, which is responsible for seeing in the dark.

Blueberries - vitamins and minerals
Berries contain mineral elements, especially selenium, zinc, copper and manganese, as well as vitamins C, A, B, PP. Fiber also plays a significant part in this, thanks to which a large part of cholesterol is removed from the gastrointestinal tract along with toxins and bile acids before they enter the bloodstream.
Blueberries are recommended for people who stay in the sun for a long time, because the anthocyanins they contain create a natural sunscreen, absorbing harmful UV radiation.
Phytoestrogens contained in berries, i.e. plant hormones, effectively block the activity of enzymes contributing to the formation of the so-called hormone-dependent cancers (e.g. certain cancers of the breast, thyroid or liver), both in women and men.
Two acids present in berries - folic acid and ellagic acid - also have similar anti-cancer properties. Folic acid helps to protect the body against uterine cancer, and during pregnancy it enables the proper development of the fetus in the womb. Ellagic acid, on the other hand, prevents the development of cancers of the lungs, esophagus and larynx.
