The latest data released by the Ministry of He alth to the Polish Press Agency shows that 110,157 people with COVID-19 have died in Poland so far. The ministry also provided data on deaths among medical personnel.
As reported by the Ministry of He alth in response to a question asked by PAP, among the 5.5 million cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection confirmed from the beginning of the epidemic in Poland, 108,938 concerns nurses, 45,705 doctors, and 19,789 physiotherapists.
Coronavirus was also detected, incl. with 11,928 midwives, 6,989 pharmacists, 5,783 dentists, 5,766 paramedics and 5,142 laboratory diagnosticians.
COVID-19 infection also contributed to the deaths of 110,157 people. Among them there were 304 doctors and 257 nurses, as well as 75 dentists, 29 midwives, 28 pharmacists, 10 physiotherapists, 8 paramedics and 8 laboratory diagnosticians.
Since March 4, 2022, when the first SARS-CoV-2 infection was detected in Poland, a total of 5 582 217 COVID-19 cases were confirmed in our country.
