Internet Patient Account (IKP)is a free website, thanks to which everyone has access to information about their medical services financed from public and private funds.
Internet Patient Account (IKP) - how to set up
The Online Patient Account is set up in a very simple way - to be more precise, log in to the patient.gov.pl using a trusted profile or bank. The Internet Patient Account is serviced by the following banks: Millenium, T-Mobile banking services, PKO Bank Polski, Inteligo, Santander, Bank Pekao (with Żuberk), mBank, ING, Envelo, Alior Bank. You can also log in to the profile via e-ID.
Establishing an Internet Patient Account gives you a number of possibilities - you can receive a prescription by SMS or e-mail, you can buy drugs in various pharmacies without losing the refund, you can provide your loved ones with information about your medications and he alth.
Thanks to IKP, we also have access to the medical records of children up to 18 years of age.
A great advantage is the possibility of receiving another e-prescription without visiting the office (in the case of a chronic disease, after consultation with a doctor).
Internet Patient Account (IKP) - for a child
The children have an Internet Patient Account with their parents. Children up to 18 years of age are linked to their parents' accounts. In the top right corner, after logging in, you can switch to your child's account.
ATTENTION!Not all data is updated - as of 1/13/2020.
InternetPatient's Account - benefits
The Internet Patient Account is linked to the Integrated Patient Information Book (ZIP), the e-prescription and e-release system. The e-referral project will also be implemented soon.
Internet Patient Account - e-prescription
E-prescriptions entered into force on January 8, 2022. From then on, the doctor can only issue an electronic prescription. People who have the Internet Patient Account application can choose the form of a prescription. These options are:
- SMS with a 4-digit access code,
- e-mail with attached PDF file with information about the e-prescription.
The great advantage of e-prescription is the possibility to buy drugs in various pharmacies without losing the refund. Additionally, patients can obtain a prescription without visiting an outpatient clinic, after agreeing with the doctor about the necessity to write prescriptions periodically.
Parents can check the history of prescribed medications for children and their dosage in the Patient Online Account.
Internet Patient Account - e-referrals
E-referral is available in the IKP app. You do not need to provide it like a standard document within 14 days from the date of issue. When registering, both in person and by phone, it is enough for the patient to provide the PESEL number and a 4-digit code.
Patient Online Account - e-release
E-exemptions are issued from December 1, 2022. Doctors and medical assistants are required to issue only electronic leaves, which is beneficial for the patient - they do not have to deliver a paper-based note to the workplace - it is visible to the employer immediately after being issued.
