The labia are smaller and bigger. But the smaller ones are sometimes bigger. What is normal and what to worry about in the case of the labia? Why are the labia sticking out? Can the labia be reduced and how much does labia plastic surgery cost?

The labiaare the guardians of the vagina. There are two pairs oflabia : the larger, outermost, with a lot of fatty tissue, and the smaller, just a fold of the skin. Both pairs are richly supplied with blood, hence their intense pink color.Protruding labia are smaller- is it normal that they are larger than the outer lips?

Protruding labia minora

Contrary to appearances, this applies to many women. The smaller labia may protrude beyond the larger ones, which can be seen in the form of one or two tongues of pink skin. And that is perfectly normal! We can have larger labia, just as we have larger and smaller noses or ears. Some women complain that large labia appear in a bathing suit or tight pants. If it bothers someone, you can reduce the labia (labiaplasty) at the plastic surgeon.

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and consists in removing too large a fold of skin so that the edge of the labia remains unchanged and the scar is almost invisible. After the procedure, you have to spend 4-5 days in bed, because walking or sitting is painful. The surgery to reduce the labia minora costs (depending on the clinic or treatment technique) from 1,500 to even 5,000 PLN. It is also possible to reduce the labia majora, or rather the mound of the pubis, when too much fat has accumulated there. Then liposuction of this area is performed. Price of the treatment - approx. PLN 4,000.

Labia may also be too small

There are also such cases when the labia majora, i.e. the outer ones, are very small and flat. This structure is perfectly normal, but it can cause some problems. This is what happens in very thin women who have very little body fat. For example, when having sex in the rider position, such low-fat labia cause discomfort. Today, and this can be corrected at a plastic surgeon by injecting the woman's own adipose tissue andmodeling more "fluffy" labia and pubic mound. The treatment costs about PLN 4,000.

Pimples and vesicles on the labia

Sometimes they are tiny pimples hidden under the skin, sometimes vesicles with serum or blood fluid, sometimes purulent eruptions. Each of these situations requires contact with a doctor, because we are unlikely to deal with this condition on our own. Pimples are most often the result of bacterial infections, and your doctor can diagnose or order appropriate tests to help determine what bacteria you are dealing with and how to treat it. Eruptions on the labia may be a consequence of both genital and urinary tract infections. A general examination and urine culture may be necessary. Vesicles on the labia often indicate an infection with the genital herpes virus, which also requires seeing a gynecologist.
