A phenomenon or a dream happened to me a few times? I don't know what to call it. In the morning, when I wake up, I think or I'm still half asleep, I'm lying, but I can hear everything, a little monster jumps behind my head? pet? I don't know what, because I can't move or look at him or even scream. I hear him jumping behind my head, stamping on the pillow, and there is nothing I can do. This is accompanied by a terrible feeling, terrible silence clogs my ears, sometimes it is difficult to breathe. Finally it disappears, I do not know how or why, my heart is pounding, my pupils are dilated and I am tired, as if I was drowning in a swimming pool a moment ago. I can't describe it better …

Not only you have states similar to those described. They are called "sleep paralysis". It consists in the fact that although the consciousness has already "woken up", the body is still asleep, it is paralyzed, it cannot make any movement. This causes a terrible fear that remains in the memory for a long time, although the whole event usually lasts only seconds. There is no monster behind your head, they are products of fear and oversensitivity to all stimuli, as well as a feeling of being cut off from stimuli. Such situations are not dangerous, although they are very unpleasant. They do not require any treatment, if they do - then you need to visit a sleep disorder clinic.
