"He alth, relationships in relationships and sexual life of Polish women and Poles during the Covid-19 pandemic" is the research work of prof. Zbigniew Izdebski from the Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Warsaw. In his report, the professor outlined whether we were satisfied with sex during the pandemic.

Prof. Zbigniew Izdebski has been studying the sexuality of Poles for many years. This time, he looked at our satisfaction with our sex lives during the pandemic. What did he discover? He presented the results of the study in his work "He alth, relationships in relationships and sexual life of Polish women and Poles during the Covid-19 pandemic".

First, a little bit about the study - over 3,000 people took part in it. respondents of different ages, but of legal age. The study was conducted using an online survey. The study covered the period from March to May 2022, i.e. the first wave of coronavirus cases.

The survey asked questions not only about sexuality, but also about mental and physical condition. The professor needed a full overview of the situation to draw conclusions. Exactly - it's time to get to know them!

Izdebski's study - conclusions

  • 22 percent of respondents believed that their relationship had strengthened during the pandemic,
  • 5 percent first thought about divorce,
  • 14 percent postponed plans to have a child,
  • 59 percent of respondents aged 30-49 are satisfied with their sex life - a total of 51% of respondents express satisfaction with sex,
  • the reason for difficulties with having sexual intercourse is … children in 18 percent women and 14 percent. men,
  • the greatest cause of difficulty in having intercourse is fatigue and stress in 25 percent. women and 22 percent. men.

Young people can't cope with loneliness

Although it seems that the most difficult thing should be for seniors, among the young respondents most people had problems resulting from loneliness during the pandemic. 39 percent respondents aged 18 to 29, as a result of the pandemic, experienced chronic fatigue, weakness, drowsiness and difficulty concentrating.

The next conclusions are equally disturbing: 53 percent of the students surveyed during the coronavirus pandemic had a breakdown or mental crisis.
