On Tuesday (February 7) I started a new pack of Microgynon 21 contraceptive pills. On Sunday (February 12) and Monday (February 13) I did not take a pill. On Tuesday, February 14th, I took two pills and got vaginal spotting and abdominal pain like my period. Hence my first question, what to do in this case? My gynecologist only works on Mondays and I can't contact her, and it's Tuesday. My second question is, if I had sex with my boyfriend in the week before and on the day I missed the pills, is it possible to get pregnant if this spotting occurs? If you forgot to take 2 or more tablets (the last tablet was taken 48 hours earlier), you should take both tablets immediately (the forgotten one and the one for the day) and if there are 7 or more left in the package take the remaining tablets as usual. Additionally, if 2 or more tablets are forgotten, you should additionally use condoms or refrain from intercourse for the next 7-9 days as you are not fully protected during this period. If you miss 2 tablets, vaginal spotting may occur. Regards
