Good morning, doctor. My question is. On January 19, I had a spontaneous miscarriage in the 5th week. Everything cleared up, and the miscarriage was almost the same as the period (slightly heavier). All the pregnancy symptoms stopped (including the characteristic nipple pain - I am already a mother and I had such nipple pain only when I was pregnant). 2 weeks after the miscarriage (possible ovulation date), I had sex with my husband, now I should have my period on Friday (if everything returns to normal) and again I got this characteristic nipple pain and I suspect that I may be pregnant. Is it even possible? Will a possible pregnancy test detect a new pregnancy or a positive result will still be caused by this aborted pregnancy? What about beta?

Good morning! Another normal ovulation is possible after an early pregnancy miscarriage. You can do a classic pregnancy test and a positive result will be due to the next pregnancy, not the previous one. However, the more reliable test is b-HCG, which will only correspond to the current state of he alth. Please remember about folic acid, iodine and vitamin D3. Regards
