Many women feel tired during pregnancy. If you are anxious, because you still have a lack of energy, you don't feel like anything, preferably you would sleep all day, then stop worrying. You are not the only one who has this problem, and we know effective ways to avoid strength in pregnancy. We advise you how to deal with constant fatigue in pregnancy.

Many women complain about the overwhelmingpregnancy fatigue , especially in the first months of pregnancy. Of course, there are also mums who burst with energy throughout their pregnancy. However, a large proportion of women feel the overwhelminglack of strength in pregnancy . Where did this problem come from?

Fatigue in pregnancy is usually normal

Fatigue can be one of the symptoms of iron deficiency in the blood (anemia), thyroid disorders or gestational diabetes. But it occurs, and very often, also in he althy women who are pregnant properly. Doctors even say that the feeling of constant exhaustion is normal during pregnancy.

The feeling of fatigue may accompany the expectant mother for up to 9 months.

The changes that take place in the body at this time enable the child to develop he althy, although in a non-pregnant woman they could be considered a symptom of a serious illness. The main culprit is hormones - the increase in progesterone levels is primarily responsible for the feeling of fatigue. Fortunately, this condition is not dangerous for the woman or the child, but the "overwhelming laziness" can seriously complicate the life of the future mother. Because how to work here, learn when thoughts are still wandering around a warm bed?

If you feel tired, rest

There is no other way out - you have to accept the changes that are taking place in your body. If you feel tired, take a break. Everyday duties are important, but the most important thing is your well-being, because your child's he alth largely depends on it. If you are working, get up from your desk every now and then and take a walk - it's best to go outside. Try to organize your day to find some time to unwind.

Sleep is essential in pregnancy

You should sleep at least 9 hours now. But how to get enough sleep when the tummy is getting bigger? It's he althiest and safest to sleep on your left side. When you sleep on the back, your baby may put pressure on the aorta (which reduces the supply of oxygenated blood to the placenta) and the vein.main (which can lead to swelling in the legs or a drop in pressure). On your back, you can only sleep in a semi-sitting position with a few pillows.

If you can't fall asleep, try some proven tricks. Eat dinner 2-3 hours in advance. Let it be rich in protein and carbohydrates - they increase the level of serotonin, which has a relaxing effect. Ventilate the bedroom, take a 15-minute warm (but not too warm) bath or shower. Some mothers are helped by a special pillow under the stomach, meditation or herbal tea with a relaxing effect, e.g. chamomile or lemon balm.

Good pregnancy diet

That's half the battle. You need more vitamins and trace elements now. Give up fast food, snacks and carbonated drinks, and choose cooked meat, fish, vegetables and fruits, juices and mineral water. The best sources of complex carbohydrates for you are, in addition to vegetables, whole grain bread, uncleaned rice, cereals and pasta made of wheat, the so-called durum. The body digests them slowly, so you don't run the risk of a drop in glucose levels, and it allows the brain to produce serotonin, which corresponds to e.g. for your mood.

Coffee and tea are revitalizing, but must not be abused. The limit of the daily dose of caffeine is 300 mg, i.e. about 2-3 cups of light coffee or 4-5 cups of tea. Remember that these drinks destroy B vitamins and their deficiency can make your nervousness worse. Therefore, replace them with fruit teas and decaffeinated coffee.

Eat often and in small portions. This will keep your blood sugar level constant. Thus, it will provide an energy supply and at the same time soothe stomach discomfort.

Can you use ready-made vitamins? Yes, but always under the supervision of a doctor. Before you buy any of the preparations, consult your gynecologist. Perhaps it will be advisable in your case to take e.g. iron preparations.

More pregnant movement

Movement has a great influence on the psyche and well-being. Even if you fall off your feet, make some effort - you will quickly feel a surge of energy. It doesn't have to be strenuous exercise - just a simple daily walk or regular visits to the pool will suffice. You can also sign up for special classes for pregnant women. Are you afraid that you will not be able to do it? Classes for pregnant women are adapted to each trimester, with a large belly you will definitely not have to make jumps. And any physical activity improves the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, adds energy, improves well-being. If your pregnancy is not at risk, you can also make an appointment with a masseur. A gentle massage will not only improve blood and lymph circulation - which will reduce swelling and back pain - but alsorelaxes you and relaxes you.
