The first symptoms must not be ignored, so that the banal infection does not develop into a much more serious disease.
Herbs for colds - elderberry
Pour a tablespoon of dried elderberry flowers into a glass, pour boiling water, cover and set aside for 15 minutes. Then strain. Rinse the sore throat with warm infusion.
Elderberry infusion can also be used for inhalation. All you need to do is heat it up in a pot after 15 minutes, without boiling it. Then take it off the heat and position yourself over the pot so that you can inhale the escaping steam. Cover your head with a towel so that it also covers the pot of infusion.
Herbs for colds - linden
Put a heaped tablespoon of dried linden flower into a glass and pour boiling water over it. Set aside, covered for 10 minutes, then strain. Drink the prepared infusion 3 times a day for half a glass. The infusion can be sweetened with honey.
Herbs for colds - poor man, coltsfoot and mullein
Mix 2 tablespoons of dried peasant root, a tablespoon of dried coltsfoot flowers, and a tablespoon of dried mullein flowers. Pour a heaped tablespoon of the herbal mixture into a pot, pour a glass of boiling water over it and simmer for 5 minutes. Then strain and pour into a thermos. Drink half a glass every 2 hours.
Herbs for colds - violet tricolor
Pour a tablespoon of dried herb of violet tricolor into a glass, pour boiling water, cover and leave for 15 minutes warm. Then strain and sweeten with honey or sugar. The mixture should be poured into a thermos and drunk a little throughout the day.
The tricolor violet is also effective in combination with other herbs:
- linden and elderberry - a tablespoon of dried linden flowers, dried lilac flowersPour 2 cups of boiling water over the black and dried tricolor violet herb. The mixture should be brewed for 15 minutes, then strained and poured into a thermos. Drink the infusion half a glass every 2 hours.
- chamomile and raspberries - a tablespoon of dried violet herb, dried chamomile flowers and dried raspberries, pour 2 cups of boiling water and simmer for 10 minutes. Then strain. The brew prepared in this way should be drunk half a glass every two hours
