My dad has very big bedsores on his buttocks, we do pats, smear them with different ointments from the doctor and nothing. He was in the hospital and he was put on a patch that is supposed to be 3 days old, and he insisted on bathing him, but I read that you can't bathe with such deep wounds.
There are no contraindications for washing wounds, it should be done under running water. This has a positive effect on the elimination of microorganisms.
