Hello, Doctor with all my heart! My name is Wiesiek (54) and I am after 4 cycles of chemotherapy in the treatment of CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia), diagnosed in August 2006. Chemotherapy took place in 2013 from April to July. After chemotherapy I had and still have, although now I have less pains in bones, joints and muscles. Muscle pain especially around the neck and shoulders. For about a month, despite the fact that I have kept strict personal hygiene, ranging from repeatedly brushing my teeth and rinsing my mouth with s alt water, to washing my entire body in the shower at least twice, I sometimes feel (now quite often) a very itchy skin. At this point, when I experience it, I will scratch to ease the annoyance, sometimes until there is blood. After the place has healed, there is a thickening on the skin in this place, as if there is a palpable lump under the skin that remains, I already have several on my body, one on my hand, 4 on the thighs and 3 on the calves. I still feel this unbearable itching. I have also been treating depression for 5 years, constantly taking medications prescribed to me by my family doctor. I am not allergic to shampoos, bath lotions, etc. Please tell me what this new problem may be in my Dear body, how would the Doctor initially diagnose my condition? Thank you, WIESŁAW

Pruritus may be a symptom of hematological diseases. In addition to using preparations to reduce dry skin, symptomatic anti-itching treatment with oral antihistamines can be used. Please visit a dermatologist who will arrange the therapy in detail, adjusting it to your ailments and general condition.
