Lymphatic drainage is a pressure massage that improves the circulation of lymph and tissue fluids in the body. Recommended in the treatment of lymphoedema and lymph stasis. It improves metabolism, stimulates the lymphatic system, and accelerates the body's cleansing process. Check who the lymphatic massage is for and how it works.

Lymphatic drainage( lymphatic massage ) is a procedure aimed at improving the flow of lymph in the body, consisting in mechanically pushing the residual lymph in the the direction of the lymph nodes.

Lymphatic massages are performed in series.

Drainage is performed in the event of swelling and lymph congestion - it allows the inflow of oxygen-rich arterial blood, which improves the functioning of the immune system and the removal of toxins from the body.

Lymphatic massage: how is it going?

The lymph nodes are not massaged, but the area around them, with moving, pushing and squeezing movements. During the procedure, massage of the back, chest, abdomen, lower and upper limbs, neck, head and face is performed. Drainage of each part of the body begins with stroking and ends with squeezing (except for the neck and face) - always along the lymphatic vessels or towards the nearest lymph nodes.

Worth knowing

The lymphatic system: what is it?The lymphatic system is differentlymphatic is the system of vessels and ducts through which the lymph flows - it is connected with the blood circulation system. It consists of tonsils, parathyroid glands, thymus, lymph nodes and vessels, spleen. It protects against infections and is responsible for the circulation of body fluids. When lymph flow is disturbed, problems arise, including swelling.
