The Barefoot Living Association (Society for Barefoot) is a barefoot promotion group operating primarily in the United States. They believe that shoes are unnecessary ballast, and without them legs not only look but also feel better. Crazy idea? Maybe not at all - our ancestors did well without high heels, sandals or boots.
For the vast majority of us, life without shoes seems unbelievable, but maybe it's worth forgetting about them sometimes? Footwear, especially those with narrow toes, made of artificial materials, can cause painful blisters, abrasions and halluxes.
Deprived of air supply, feet are prone to the development of bacterial and fungal infections, sweat excessively, and in the evening - especially on hot days - they are swollen and sore.

Where to go barefoot?
It is worth taking advantage of the favorable, holiday aura and allowing yourself a moment of relaxation. Here are some ideas for barefoot walks:
- at the seaside… In the center of the Hel Peninsula there is Jastarnia with a wide beach, dunes and a beautiful pine forest. To the accompaniment of rustling waves, you can go for a barefoot walk in the direction of Kuźnica or Jurata, and return to the forest path. Such active rest will not only benefit your feet, but will also have a positive effect on the entire body. Beautiful landscapes will also delight walkers in the Słowiński National Park, where you can see the famous moving dunes. In the vicinity of Łeba, on a section with a length of approx. 5 km, you can admire the largest and highest "Białe Mountains" on the coast.
- in the forest … In north-western Poland, on the Drawa River, there is the Drawsko Primeval Forest with the Drawieński National Park. It is one of the least polluted places in Poland. Kayaking enthusiasts may decide to go rafting along the route, which Karol Wojtyła defeated many times in his youth. Walkers will appreciate the endangered flora and discover the richness of the glades. However, you should walk on well-trodden paths and not venture into the thickets. There are many vipers in this area.
- in the fields of Grunwald … One of the greatest battles of medieval Europe took place on July 15, 1410 in the fields near the village of Grunwald. Every year, knights' brotherhoods come there to recreate this historic event. About 1,000 people take part in the staging of the battle. However, it is worth going there not only on the anniversary of Jagiełło's triumph over the Teutonic Knights. In the Grunwald Fields there are: the Grunwald Battle Museum, the ruins of the battle chapel, the Jagiellonian Mound and the Grunwald Victory Monument. In the area, you can also take a walk in the Dylewo Hills Landscape Park.
