In the case of teenagers, everything turned out well - doctors managed to restore them to he alth. But what exactly happened to the girls? As a result of exercise, they developed rhabdomyolysis - a number of symptoms due to muscle damage.

Exceeded myoglobin norms have been detected in the teenager's blood. Myoglobin is an oxygen storage protein in striated muscle, and its level rises with the breakdown of muscle tissue. The dead muscle fibers go into the bloodstream, which causes the urine to turn brown - its color resembling weak coffee.

Rhabdomyolysis can also cause fever and other flu symptoms. In more severe cases, convulsions and disturbances of consciousness appear.
