You don't like going to the gym, but you want to quickly model your body and get a model figure? Think about personal training. Although it is more expensive than group exercises, it allows you to quickly achieve your dream goal. During personal training, the instructor adjusts the exercises to the level of the practitioner, taking into account his condition, age, body build.

What is personal training?

Personal training is a training during which the trainer works with only one person in such a way that they quickly achieve the intended results.

Is such training better than group training?

First of all, it is more effective. The trainer adjusts the performed exercises to the level of the exerciser, and can also arrange the program in such a way that the exerciser quickly achieves the intended goals. A good trainer takes into account not only the condition, but also the physique of a specific person, as well as their needs. In this way, a program tailored to the practitioner is created like a tailor-made creation.

Staying with this comparison, training in a group is a ready-made outfit bought in a store. We can adjust group training to our needs, but they will always be averaged so that many people can use them. For example: we sign up for exercises to help us lose unnecessary kilograms. There are several or a dozen women with the same goal. Only that each of them wants to get rid of kilos in slightly different parts of the body. Each of them is in a different condition.

Finally, the organism of each of them reacts slightly differently to exercise. Group training must take into account the situation of each participant. Personal training focuses on one specific person. In addition, a good personal trainer reacts on a regular basis, for example by reducing the intensity of exercise when we have a bad day (and who of us don't have days when we feel like nothing?) And increasing it when we are able to do more. Also for this reason, the effects of exercises will be visible much faster after personal training than after group training.

Is it possible to train at home?

The personal trainer is scheduled in a place and timemost convenient for the client, so in certain cases it is possible to practice at home. Of course, some workouts require specialized equipment only available in gyms, but for many exercises you only need a mat. In this case, you can definitely make an appointment with a personal trainer at home.

So who should be interested in personal training?

Personal training is recommendable, above all, to people who want to achieve their goals quickly. In addition, it may be very useful for beginners who, under the watchful eye of a trainer, will learn to perform all exercises correctly, learn a lot about the principles of training and get to know their body.

It is worth remembering, however, that personal training may also turn out to be a great solution for advanced people who have been training for a long time, but complain about the lack of results. In their case, a look from the outside and the help of a specialist may be very important. In addition, personal training is an ideal solution for people who need very specific pro-he alth exercises, for example to strengthen the spine or correct posture defects. I would also recommend personal training to everyone returning to exercise after a longer break - individual work with a trainer will allow them to return to old form - as well as the elderly, who should be especially careful about the intensity of training due to the possibility of injury.

I would like to add one more group here: all those who have problems with motivation. This may seem trivial at first glance, because if someone decides to exercise, they will go to classes. However, I know from experience how often people quit training because of too little motivation. Also in such a situation, a good personal trainer can provide invaluable help, skilfully motivating for further exercises and showing the paths leading to the desired goal.

What should you pay attention to when talking to our potential personal trainer?

A good personal trainer should first of all ask about the goals we set for ourselves, and then about our condition. And then he should explain a lot of things to us. First of all, it should tell (and then show) what the training will look like, what to start with and why. In addition, a good trainer should react to how we exercise from the first training, identify our strengths and weaknesses and modify the program accordingly.

A responsible and professional trainer should also provide a real time to achieve the goal and explain exactly why it takes so long. ThanksWith such translations, we get to know not only our own body, but also training programs and exercises that are perfect for us. Thanks to this, we gain valuable knowledge, we do not become dependent on the trainer, and in the event of his absence, we can exercise ourselves. In addition, the trainer should ensure that we perform all exercises correctly, motivate us in times of crisis and pay attention to our he alth. In short, he should be our advisor and friend.

Even if personal trainers are not nutritionists, they can usually advise you on proper nutrition. It is especially useful in the first stage of training, when it may be necessary to change some inappropriate eating habits. However, I would advise caution in the case of trainers who propose the purchase of supplements during the first training. I believe that they are very useful, but they should be included in the diet due to the needs of the body, i.e. after a certain period of intense training.

This all sounds very interesting, but feels very expensive. Is personal training available to the average person?

It's true, personal training is more expensive than group training. So you have to think about how quickly we can achieve our goals individually and how quickly in a group, as well as analyze our needs and, of course, our possibilities. In practice, mixed solutions are also possible: we order a series of personal trainings, learning the technique and getting to know your own body, then train yourself, and then from time to time arrange individual personal trainings, a kind of consultation.

Certainly, personal training is not a solution for everyone, but it is worth remembering that there is such an alternative. Perhaps at some point we will find that it may be interesting or useful for us.
