In 1969 he founded the organization 3HO (He althy, Happy, Holly Organization) dealing with training yogis in the kundalini technique. Soon Yogi Bhajan became a master and authority for many people, especially those associated with the hippie movement. Kundalini yoga - what is it?

Yogi Bhajana emphasized that kundalini yoga is designed for a modern man - busy and stressed, who has to balance many duties every day, but does not want to lose connection with himself. To do this, he must consciously practice the five techniques of working with his body, mind and spirit: asanas (yoga poses), pranayama (breathing work), meditation, mantras (sounds and singing) and mudras (hand gestures). The combination of these elements gives you a tool that is used to develop your creative energy. It is hidden in each of us, right at the base of the spine, and is known as the first chakra, or Muladhara. Through the practice of kundalini yoga, this energy begins to vibrate and travels upwards along the line of the spine where the remaining "levels" of the chakras are located. There are seven of them in total and each is responsible for a different mental function (e.g. joy, openness to people, creativity, sexuality, self-esteem, intuition). Exactly thatdisturbances in the flow of energy through the chakras cause typical problems of modern man: fears, dissatisfaction with oneself, low self-esteem, emotional fluctuations, unsatisfactory contacts with the environment.
