The size of the member is somewhat of a discretionary issue. The ideal does not exist. A small penis is usually not an obstacle to a successful sex life. However, men attach too much importance to the issue of penis size.
Small penis complexis the belief that the size of your own penis differs from the norm and is much lower than in other representatives of the same sex. It most often affects children and teenagers who have compared their penises with those of adult men. This syndrome is so dangerous that in the future it can cause anxiety and phobias related to sex and an imaginary cause of failure in intimate life and breakdown of relationships.
Causes of the small member complex
Stereotypes reproduced in the media, sex guides or erotic films are responsible for everything. Sexologists emphasize as one husband: a large penis is not better than a small one, and a man with it may even be weaker in sexual intercourse.
Women don't complain that their partners have toosmall member . A 2005 survey showed that 70% of women are very satisfied with the size of their partner's penis, and only 6% would like their man's penis to be larger. In fact, it's more common for them to have a problem because their partner is too generously endowed, which causes them pain and discomfort. And so bad, and so bad.
Check: What penis sizes are most men?
The average length of a penis is six to ten centimeters at rest. When erect, it lengthens to 11-17 centimeters. The vagina is flexible and, in a way, fits the penis, but also in its case there are certain limits. Also, keep in mind that many women have very small vaginal sizes. They just couldn't handle men with big penises. Of course, there are some positions that are able to match the female organ to the male organ to some extent - e.g. the classic position with raised legs or the opposite position - the woman lies on the partner). But sometimes anatomy can take precedence over infatuation.
The small penis complex has its origins in childhood
Psychotherapist Anna Dodziuk, in the book "We are good together" writes thatsmallpeniscomes from childhood experiences.
- Virtually every boy had the opportunity to compare his "bird" with the penis of an adult man and this experience turned out to be devastating for many - believes Dodziuk. - In my psychotherapeutic practice, I also met many men who were laughed at by mothers, grandmothers, aunts and older sisters during their childhood. Most of the parents didn't do or say anything about it, leaving the boy alone to the prey of natural, very frequent dilemmas and doubts.
And what did the best fathers do? They just said the boy's body, including his penis, was fine. As the psychotherapist mentions in the book, a sexologist friend of mine explained that the sizes of the penis in the dangling and erected penis are independent of each other. This means that a man whose penis is smaller at rest than others may have a much larger organ when excited. So maybe there is nothing to worry about?
