The eighth month of pregnancy is the time when the baby is shaped and well developed, but still growing, which means that he has less and less room for sweeping movements. So instead of digging - he fidgets and pushes.
Eighth month of lifeFetal - the baby's body is fully formed. The central nervous system is also mature, the lungs and digestive tract are almost fully developed. The kidneys are working at full speed: each day the baby excretes about half a liter of urine into the amniotic fluid.
Eighth month of pregnancy: immune system development
At the end of the 8th month, the building of the baby's immune system begins. It does this by taking the antibodies from the mother's blood and releasing them into the baby's circulation. The unborn child "borrows" immunity from the mother - thanks to this, immediately after birth, it is protected against many bacteria and viruses - until it develops its own immunity, which appears after 5-6 months of life.
Eighth month pregnant: little twinks
The child is constantly growing - it measures approx. 33 cm (plus legs) and weighs over 2 kg. It starts to get more and more tight in the uterus, so now he kicks and pokes less, and more fidgets, stretches and thrusts out. On the mum's abdomen, you can often see protrusions moving under the skin - it's the elbow, heel or bottom of a small squiggly.
Already at this stage of life, the temperament of a child is largely shaped: if the child is constantly fidgeting, it can be expected that he will be an energetic and lively person, and if he is calm in his tummy, it will behave in a similar way also after coming to the world.
ImportantWhat does the baby look like now?
In the eighth month, the baby looks completely like a newborn - the body is fully formed and has reached the right proportions, only the fat under the skin is not enough, so it is very thin. After eight months of pregnancy, the baby measures approx. 35 cm (parietal-seat length) and weighs approx. 2,500 g.
How does your child spend time?
Only 2-3 hours a day is the so-called active waking when the child is mobile. What does he do then? In addition to "teasing" his mother by pushing her elbows, she likes to play with the umbilical cord - when she grasps it tightly, she feels great pleasure. Probably because it is accompanied by an adrenaline rush as a substitutestrong emotions.
Most often, however, the child sleeps: he sleeps almost 20 hours each day. During this time, her eyes are closed, and she is said to be even dreaming at some point in her sleep. About what? Probably about what he did when he was active, such as moving his leg or handle, playing with the umbilical cord or his reaction to loud sounds. In this way, the child "arranges" the acquired knowledge, all impressions and experiences from a given day in the child's head, and this serves the maturation of the brain.
What the baby hears and feels?
It used to be believed that an unborn child exists outside our world until it is born, because it is completely isolated from it, there is no contact with it. In the textbooks of medicine 30-40 years ago it was written that the fetus cannot hear, see or feel anything - not even pain. Today we know that this is not true. Many studies show that in utero, the child has quite well-developed senses, especially hearing.
Various sounds reach his ears, and they are by no means just sounds from the mother's body (her heartbeat, digestive sounds). The child hears loud, high-intensity sounds very well - it has been found that he responds to them with an accelerated heartbeat. In an advanced stage of pregnancy, she can also hear normal conversation or reading aloud. It is said that the baby also learns the basic pattern of his mother's language and even remembers the music and lyrics he heard frequently in the womb. Some researchers go even further and maintain that the child understands what the mother wants to convey to him, both through words and on a non-verbal level. Evidence for this are cases where the fetus changes from gluteal to cephalic position under the influence of mom's urging and requests.
Child - finished work
After 33 weeks in the womb, the baby is so developed that if he were born now, he would have no trouble breathing on his own. As much as 95 percent premature babies born on this date without any problems.
ImportantMake contact with your child
Take time each day to focus solely on your baby. Relaxed, listen to his movements (the doctor will tell you how often you should feel them). Respond to the baby's kicks by tapping gently on the same spot and asking for a response. By doing this over and over again and at the same time, you might have your first relationship with your baby! Talk to him and read books to him, the mother's voice is the baby's favorite sound. Together, listen to soft, harmonious music, e.g. classical (Mozart, Vivaldi). Such music stimulates the nerve cells in the brain, stimulating the emotional and intellectual development of the baby.
