I have been taking high blood pressure medication for 10 years and my blood pressure is soaring. Sometimes it is good and sometimes it is elevated. I've been to different doctors and nothing. Apparently my high blood pressure is caused by my emotions and my nature.
Hello, You do not write what the specific blood pressure values are, so it is difficult to comment accurately on whether the values are correct or not. The mere fact that the pressure differs from one measurement to the next should not be a cause for concern as long as the pressure values are within the normal range. For example, if one day the pressure is 115/70 on one day and 120/60 on the other, it is not a bad thing. If the blood pressure values are above 140/90, it is incorrect and may have a negative effect on your he alth in the long run. The duration of the elevated blood pressure values is also important - we are talking about the so-called overpressure load, i.e. the area under the curve. The time when the blood pressure rises is also important. Usually, blood pressures are higher during the day and lower at night, with blood pressure rising again in the morning. It is beneficial for he alth if the increase in blood pressure in the morning is not too high, because other changes take place during this time, such as an increase in blood clotting, which, combined with the increase in blood pressure, promotes cerebral hemorrhages and heart attacks. If you are concerned about your blood pressure values, I encourage you to measure and record the results and present the recorded results to your GP during a follow-up visit. Regards, Dr. n.med.
