How to increase your immunity? I get a cold a lot and am weak.
Individuals have different levels of immunity. Weakening of immunity can arise under a variety of circumstances. The most common causes of immunodeficiency are stresses of everyday life, sleep deprivation, inadequate nutrition, and systemic diseases. We have three methods to increase the body's immunity - they include: 1. a hygienic lifestyle, 2. vaccination, and 3. the use of preparations generally supporting the body's immunity (e.g. preparations containing Echinacea). The basic method of ensuring good immunity is to lead a hygienic lifestyle - distancing yourself from stress, eating regularly, and providing the body with sufficiently long sleep (8 hours a day). Anyone who smokes cigarettes should absolutely quit the addiction, because it leads to a serious weakening of the body's natural immunity. After smoking one cigarette for about 20 minutes, the cilia of the epithelium lining the upper respiratory tract and acting as a barrier against pathogens are paralyzed. It is easy to calculate that a person smoking a pack of cigarettes is exposed to the invasion of viruses and bacteria for over 6 hours a day. If possible, it is better to walk to work than to be crowded in a public transport vehicle, where it is easy to catch the disease. Also, staying in a smoky room may weaken the body's immunity.
