If the father has blood type 0rh + and the daughter A or B or AB, are they not related? Thank you.

The fact that a person with blood type O may have a child with blood type A or B is in complete agreement with Mendel's laws, which are the basis of classical genetics. Based on the aforementioned Mendelian laws, one would expect that a person with blood group O cannot become a parent of a child whose blood type AB is detected in serological tests.

However, great care should be taken in drawing conclusions about paternity solely on the basis of blood types. Suffice it to mention that although this apparently contradicts Mendel's rights, in a special, extremely rare situation (if a partner has a blood group called cis-AB), a person with blood group O may have a child with serological tests detect AB blood type!

In the case of doubts regarding paternity, for many years the standard method is the so-called polymorphic markers, preferably made in a certified forensic facility.
