Super Female XXX Syndrome is a genetic disease that only affects women. The characteristic symptoms of the disease are, inter alia, emphasized feminine features, e.g. large breasts and wide hips. What are the causes and symptoms of super female syndrome? What is the treatment of the hyperwomen syndrome?
Superfemale syndrome XXX , i.e.overwomen syndrome, totrisomyX chromosome, i.e. presence an additional (third) chromosome in a pair of chromosomes responsible for female sex determination, i.e. XX. Consequently, a woman has 47 (and not correctly, 46) chromosomes in the karyotype (the complete set of chromosomes). Super-female syndrome occurs with the frequency of about 1 in 1000 births (data from the USA).

Trisomy is a group of rare genetic disorders that is associated with the presence of an extra or more chromosome in a given chromosome pair. Trisomy usually occurs during meiotic divisions of parental germ cells.
May also be the result of abnormal divisions in the zygote formed after fertilization. This type of chromosomal aberration equally affects both boys and girls and contributes to a number of birth defects of varying severity.
Super Females XXX - Reasons
The cause of the hyperwomen syndrome is a chromosomal abnormality (aberration) consisting in the presence of an additional X chromosome in a pair of XX chromosomes. Chromosomal aberration occurs accidentally, as a result of an error in oogenesis - the process of formation and maturation of eggs.
Therefore, super female syndrome is not hereditary. It is also known to be strongly related to the mother's age - the older she is, the more likely her daughter will have a XXX trisomy.
Super Female Syndrome XXX - Symptoms
A woman with an X chromosome trisomy is called a supermaid because her tertiary sexual characteristics are well emphasized, such as more prominent breasts, specific distribution of fat onbody (broad hips, etc.), stronger body hair (especially pubic hair). In addition, a characteristic physical symptom of the super female syndrome is above-average height.
Women with this genetic mutation do not have fertility problems, but in some cases menstrual disorders and problems with getting pregnant are possible (this is the result of the presence of two Barr bodies).
Women with Super Female Syndrome may develop learning disabilities and, in some cases, mild mental retardation.
In extreme cases, microcephaly, weakened muscle tone or facial deformation may occur.
Superfamily Syndrome XXX - diagnosis
In order to make a final diagnosis, cytogenetic tests (chromosome analysis) are performed. However, the defect can also be detected in utero with invasive prenatal tests, such as amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling.
Super Females Syndrome XXX - treatment
Causal treatment, as in the case of other genetic diseases, is impossible.
Symptomatic treatment may include the administration of appropriate hormones (e.g. in the case of amenorrhea).
