Especially at night, itching and burning on the legs increase. For half a year I had to take a tuberculosis treatment. Could it have caused such significant damage to the body? There was a list of undesirable side effects in the leaflet for the medications I was taking. I was at a dermatologist who told her to take pills to rebuild a damaged liver and use a made-up ointment. Unfortunately, after 2 weeks it did not work. I must add that these symptoms appeared while taking these drugs. I finished this treatment, but the symptoms did not go away. What kind of disease could these symptoms be? Which doctor should you go to? What kind of tests should I do? I must add that I also have diabetes, which was not diagnosed in the hospital, but thanks to my own over-zealousness by asking my family doctor for a referral for a complete set of tests. How can I help myself? What should I do? I asked another doctor if it could be from diabetes - he answered yes and that if I take pills it should go away, but it doesn't help, because nothing goes away! This is unbearable anymore! More than half a year, burning feet and itching: calves and feet. Past diseases include tuberculosis, and recently, or perhaps for a long time, diabetes.
Hello, Ailments in the lower limbs may appear in a person with diabetes - they occur especially often in cases where the sugar level is too high despite the use of treatment (usually such a situation occurs when the patient does not follow the diet). You should consult a diabetologist, i.e. a specialist in treating diabetes. Regards, Dr. n.med. Krystyna Knypl
