Passover is a high-calorie dish - 100 g of Passover provides 245 kcal. This is the energy value of a Passover prepared only on the basis of cottage cheese. This Passover is less caloric than other Easter cakes, such as mazurka (345 kcal / 100 g) or sand cake (390 kcal / 100 g). However, if cream is also added to the curd, the energy value of the Passover increases to over 300 kcal / 100 g. Its calorific value is also influenced by the amount of added nuts and dried fruits.
Passover contains significant amounts of fat, mainly saturated fatty acids and cholesterol. The former raise the level of cholesterol in the body, which increases the risk of heart disease and atherosclerosis. Their source is mainly butter. However, butter also contains vitamin E, which is an antioxidant.
Passover is also a source of polyunsaturated fatty acids, the source of which are eggs that are part of the Passover. Eggs are also a source of vitamin E, vitamin A, vitamin B2, vitamin B12, and phosphorus. Additionally, the armpit is an excellent source of protein.
Pascha is a very sweet product and contains significant amounts of sucrose, which if consumed in excess increases the riskobesity, type 2 diabetes, tooth decay.

Preparing the Passover is not laborious. It can be prepared in two ways: cold and hot.
Cold Passover is prepared by grinding the ground curd with butter, sugar, cream and egg yolks.
Hot Passover is made by rubbing melted butter with sugar and egg yolks. The ground curd is then added and slowly heated while stirring constantly.
Add dried fruit and vanilla to the finished mass, drain it on a special form or in a colander, shape it into a truncated pyramid and decorate it with orange peel and raisins.
Passover is best kept in a cool place.
Light version of Passover
Passover can be prepared in a dietary version, which will make it lesscaloric and had a lower sugar content.
