Over a year ago I was treated with radioiodine. The thyroid gland is supposedly blocked. Half a year ago I had a TSH of 80, I was taking Letrox (last dose for 4 months 100). Now my TSH is about 5 slightly above normal. The family doctor told me to continue taking 100, and 125 every other day. Even if TSH is normal, do I still need to take Letrox?
If TSH is normal, it will be thanks to Letrox. If you take it off, there will be no thyroid hormones, you are after radioiodine treatment and your thyroid is no longer functioning. You will fall into hypothyroidism.
