How long a prescription is valid depends on the type of drug you have been exposed to. If you miss your prescription, your pharmacist will not dispense you. An expired prescription can only be corrected by a doctor.

Expired prescription: what to do?
If you have an expired prescription, it can only be corrected by the doctor who issued it, confirming it with his stamp and signature. To correct an expired prescription, delete the old date and enter a new one.
