I've been feeling a gurgling gurgling on the right side of my stomach, under my ribs, for about a week. It is the same feeling as a baby kicked me when I was pregnant :) If I touch my hand, I can even feel this gurgling. I have no other symptoms and have no idea what it might be.

These ailments suggest that it is an overproduction of gas in the intestines. There may be various reasons for this.

First, too much gas in your gut can be related to the type of food you eat and the fluid you drink. Second, it may be the result of certain eating habits.

Foods that cause gas are such as cabbage, peas, beans, and onions. It is not always remembered that also consumed drinks, especially carbonated drinks, can cause an increased production of gas in the intestines.

Another circumstance that can increase the amount of gas in the intestines is eating quickly and talking while eating. Then, air is swallowed while eating, which, as it travels through the digestive tract, causes these ailments.

It is worth eating foods rich in fiber (vegetables, fruits, dark bread, whole grains). Pay attention to eating calmly and avoid talking during meals. It is also worth eliminating carbonated and sweet drinks from the diet, replacing them with still mineral water. Eating natural yoghurt with bran is also helpful.

If changes in diet and eating habits do not improve, it is advisable to contact your GP.
