Good morning. I have a very big problem and I have been struggling with it for many years. I have a very bad smell from my mouth, even after eating any food. It is very tedious. Nobody wants to believe that it is so. I went to a few doctors, but they just "turned me off". They said I was making up something. I now have high school diploma, I will meet new people after graduating from my current school. Everyone will probably move away from me and not like me. The worst part is I have a boyfriend. He has never told me anything about it before, but I'm afraid he will eventually do so. It is very unpleasant, because even normally I can't talk to people - they immediately move away from me. What should I do? Please help …
Hello, the first thing when looking forthe causes of unpleasant smell from the mouthis the condition of the teeth and surrounding tissues, i.e. the periodontium - visit the dentist and if there are any changes, undergo treatment.
Another cause of bad breath is the so-called crypts on the tonsils, in which food debris can remain - in the process of their decomposition, an unpleasant smell occurs. You should wash your mouth very carefully after each meal, including gargling - you can gargle with the addition of special disinfectant liquids - they are widely available in pharmacies without a prescription.
The disinfecting and astringent effect can also be obtained by rinsing the mouth with boiled water with the addition of table s alt (in conditions where we do not have access to pharmacy agents).
Finally, it is important to carefully brush your teeth and mouth, including your tongue - you should get good toothpastes and special brushes. Regards. Krystyna Knypl, MD, PhD
