Eating food for only 8 hours a day can help you lose weight and lower your blood pressure. This is the conclusion of a study conducted by scientists from the University of Illinois (USA), and published in the journal "Nutrition and He alty Aging".

American researchers conducted a 12-week nutritional test on a group of 23 obese people, whose average age was 45 years. The study participants could eat any food and in any quantity, but only for 8 hours a day, namely from 10.00 to 18.00. For the remaining 16 hours of the day, they could only drink water or other non-calorie drinks.
After completing the test, its results were compared with studies in which other types of posts were used. It turned out that by consuming food only for 8 hours throughout the day, the people taking part in the test unknowingly reduced the caloric value of meals by an average of 350 kcal and lost approx. 3% within 12 weeks. body matzah. Their systolic pressure also decreased - by an average of 7 mmHg. The results of other parameters tested, e.g. insulin resistance and cholesterol level, were similar to those in the control group.

Test participants pointed out to researchers that the 8-hour-only diet was easier for them to follow than other fasting diets.
