Niepokalanek is a component of many preparations, used both in disorders of the menstrual cycle (e.g. Castagnus, Cyclodynon) and in menopausal symptoms (e.g. Menopausal Formula).

Although there are no hormones or hormone-like compounds in them, the active substances in chaste fruit have an impact on the pituitary gland, which regulates the work of the entire endocrine system. This property is used both in various problems related to the menstrual cycle and in ailments accompanying menopause.

Niepokalanek soothes irritability, anxiety, mood swings and even depression. It is helpful in the case of hot flashes - it reduces their frequency and severity. It also has a beneficial effect on the endometrium - it reduces the risk of its hypertrophy, which is facilitated by the cessation of the ovaries. According to scientists, it may have anti-cancer effects, especially in the case of the large intestine, ovaries and cervix.

  • Dried, ground chasteberry fruit pour pure vodka in a 1: 1 ratio. Shake it and set aside for a week. After this time, filter the extract through gauze. Take a teaspoon twice a day to soothe hot flashes.

Chinese angelica for menopause

There are few plants that contain as many active substances as the Chinese angelica. They include, among others flavonoids, phytoestrogens, coumarins, organic acids, phytosterols, protein, glucose, bergapten. There is also a we alth of elements (including calcium, chromium, cob alt, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, zinc) and some vitamins (including vitamins A, B2, B9, B12 and E).

Some researchers believe that thanks to this diversity and a large amount of phytoestrogens, Chinese angelica has a stabilizing effect on the hormonal balance of a woman - it soothes hot flashes, reduces vaginal dryness during menopause, strengthens the muscles of the uterus, and reduces the risk of uterine prolapse. It also generally strengthens the skin, improves the condition of the skin, and restores mental balance. However, some scientists attribute the effectiveness of angelica to a rather high content of coumarins, which dilate blood vessels, increasing the blood supply to the uterus and other organs, and also have a stimulating effect on the central nervous system.

Chinese Angelica is often mixed with other herbs - ginseng, licorice, chaste (eg Menopausal Formula). But you can also buy capsules that contain only angelica (e.g. Dong Quai) or the natural dried root of this plant and apply it as an infusion or tincture.

  • 1 tablespoon of crushed angelica roots, pour 1.5 cups of boiling water and heat, covered, for 15 minutes. Set aside for 10 minutes and strain. Drink half a cup 3 times a day.
  • 100 g of angelica root pour 100 ml of spirit and leave in a closed vessel for 2 weeks. After this time, pass through a fine sieve and store in a dark vessel. Take 30 drops of the tincture 3 times a day.

Black bug relieves menopause

Better known under the Latin nameCimicifuga racemosa- black cohosh is considered to be one of the most effective plants in fighting menopausal ailments.

Since bedbug has an exceptionally strong estrogenic effect, it is best to consult your doctor about the use of preparations based on this herb (eg Menofem, Remifemin). It is also better to use homemade "preserves" of bedbug with caution.

For this purpose, the root of this plant is used, which contains triterpene and bitter glycosides, as well as resins, phenolic acids, salicylic acid, estrogenic substances and isoflavones. The root has a toning, diastolic and anti-inflammatory effect, but more importantly -activates the action of female sex hormones and has estrogenic properties, which are mainly caused by triterpene glycosides. They contribute to reducing the frequency of hot flashes, mild sweating, excessive nervousness and emotional lability.

  • Pour a teaspoon of the root with a glass of boiling water, bring to a boil and simmer, covered, for about 30 minutes. Drain, divide the decoction into two portions and drink them in the morning and evening.
  • Grind the dried root of the bug. Take 15 g of powdered root twice a day, e.g. by adding it to a little water.

This salad should be included in the diet of women over 50. It contains a set of easily digestible vitamins as well as macro- and microelements, and its preparation is very simple.
