Boosters are mainly used by students before the session and high school graduates before exams. They are available, among others in the form of dried, incense, mineral s alts or cola flavored snuff. The most common ingredients of designer drugs are bufedrone or methoxetamine, which cause havoc in a young person's body. Check how boosters work and which substances are dangerous.

Boostersare substances that act on our central nervous system in the same way as drugs and induce a state of intoxication, agitation, euphoria or hallucinations. The main ingredient of designer drugs is benzylpiperazine, which acts like amphetamines. However, the composition of designer drugs is constantly being changed to avoid drug bans. Legal highs have not been added to the list in the Act on Counteracting Drug Addiction, and therefore pose a serious threat, especially to young people.

We divide boosters into:

  • natural, so-called spice, i.e. droughts and incense,
  • synthetic, so-called party pills,
  • synthetic, which contain only one psychoactive substance.

In what form can you buy boosters?

Although the sale of legal highs has been banned, you can still buy it in the so-called smart shops, i.e. stores that sell stationary and online, in the form of:

  • tablets,
  • pipes and turns,
  • dried,
  • powder in bags,
  • lick stamps,
  • aromatic blends,
  • mineral s alts,
  • powders.

Boosters are most often used by high school graduates and students because they give a false sense of self-confidence before an important exam. However, they actually cause addiction and destroy the young person's body.

Plant-derived boosters

Plant-based boosters are mainly droughts:

  • bourgeois sage,
  • Hawaiian morning glory,
  • kratoma (leaves of the Mitragyna Speciosa tree),

which are available in the form of pipes, twists or incense. The main ingredient of this type of legal high is spice,i.e. a substance with an effect similar to tetrahydrocannabinol - the main component of marijuana or opium. Some legal highs are also enriched with plant cannabinoids - the psychoactive substance of marijuana. Plant-derived legal highs also include lethal alkaloids, which are contained in poisonous toadstools.

Boosters of synthetic origin

The following drugs are of synthetic origin:

  • stimulants- the most famous stimulants are caffeine and tobacco. Stimulants are similar to amphetamines and cocaine and cause a state of euphoria. Stimulants, due to the benzylpiperazine contained in them, are the most common type of stimulants used before the session and high school final exams, because they increase mental fitness and productivity. They also contain another, equally popular substance, MDPV - a derivative of phenylethylamine, which stimulates and increases the level of concentration.
  • opioidshave an effect similar to the effects of morphine and heroin, i.e. the disappearance of pain, negative emotions or hunger. They also make you feel dizzy and slow your heart rate.
  • hallucinogens , or psychedelics, change our perception of seeing the world. Unlike opioids and stimulants, they cause auditory and visual hallucinations, such as trance and dreams. Everything through LSA, i.e. a substance similar to LSD (so-called acid). LSA is most often available in the form of paper stamps impregnated with "acid" for licking. However, some LSAs ingest under the tongue or under the eyelid of the eye, which can result in loss of vision. The most popular hallucinogenic legal highs were the so-called gumijagoda, which most often caused visual hallucinations in addicts.
  • dissociantshave effects similar to psychedelics, but the consequences of regular use are more severe. Dissociants cause mental disorders similar to the symptoms of schizophrenia.
  • empathogens , also known as entactogens, increase the secretion of dopamine and neoadrenaline in the brain, resulting in overly emotional openness. All because of mephedrone, which also causes facial erythema and dilates the pupils.

The boosters of synthetic origin contain only one of the above-mentioned substances and are the least popular of all types of legal highs.
