Doctor, he has the third approach to antidepressants behind him. He has anxiety neurosis with panic disorder. First there was seroxat five days - a nightmare, coaxil 7 days two very strong attacks, now zoloft 7 days - very bad feeling that I am going crazy and die all the time (headaches, panic attacks, constant extreme tension, intestinal cramp complete anorexia). I can't stand a week and become a wreck of a man. Can it be treated differently? For me, somatic symptoms (gastrointestinal tract) and derealization dominate. I am asking for advice on what other drugs may help. I have been taking Afobam for 5 months (3x 1/2 0.25 mg / day) .
It is difficult for you to advise at a distance, you are certainly treated by a specialist and this is the right address. It happens that subsequent medications do not help. But in this case it cannot even be said that the drugs used are not effective, only that they are not well tolerated. The drug starts working after 2-4 weeks of use! I am also not sure that the drugs were poorly tolerated, such reactions could have been caused by the involuntary fear of the new drug and the focus of fearful attention on any signals from the body. You've been taking Afobam for far too long and you've developed an addiction, something needs to be done about that too - but in consultation with a psychiatrist. Regards!
