This means that we are not afraid of any flu, as long as we drink an infusion of elderberries on a regular basis! How to make such a brew?

Pour a tablespoon of elderberry flowers in a glass of cold water, bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Set aside for 15 minutes, strain. Drink 1/3 cup 2-3 times a day as a diaphoretic, antipyretic and diuretic. Yes - elderberry also relieves pain and reduces fever.

Its properties are very wide because in its composition we can find: anthocyanin glycosides, pectins, tannins, fruit acids, vitamins (especially a lot of vitamin C and provitamin A), mineral s alts (calcium, potassium, sodium, aluminum and iron).

Mullein

Our ancestors treated mulleindiseases of the respiratory tract . It was used in cough, bronchitis, and also in asthma. Mullein infusion dilutes the secretions in the lungs and has anti-inflammatory properties. Mullein, or actually the ingredients contained in it, destroy the herpes virus, influenza A and B viruses and the FPV bird flu virus.

To prepare an infusion of mullein, pour a glass of boiling water over a tablespoon of dried flowers and set aside undercover for 15 minutes. After straining, sweeten with honey or elderberry juice. Drink 4 times a day in case of a viral infection, and for preventive purposes it is enough once a day.

Traganek

It is not without reason that astragalus was placed high, as it was in third place in our ranking.Tea with astragalusstrengthens the immune system, prevents infections, has a positive effect on the functioning of the kidneys, liver and heart, regulates the level of glucose, cholesterol and triglycerides.

Tragacanth can be bought in two versions - capsules and powder. If you buy powdered, then one teaspoon should be poured with one glass of boiling water and left covered for 20-30 minutes. Drink one or two times a day, but each time you need to brew a new brew.

Baikal skullcap

Little-known Baikal skullcap has anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal properties.

It can be used in case of allergies, against asthma attacks or inflammation of the digestive system. Today, thyroid extracts are often used to prevent influenza epidemics and inhibit viral activity.

Baikal skullcap can fight many bacteria, for example those responsible for the formation of caries - Staphylococcus mutans. It also has a fungicidal effect, so it can be used as an auxiliary in the treatment of oral mycosis.

Lipa

In linden you will find flavonoids, phytosterols, mucilages and tannins, as well as organic acids, mineral s alts, vitamin C and PP. Thanks to these ingredients, lime has a diuretic and slightly diastolic effect, it also stimulates the secretion of gastric juices and increases the flow of bile into the duodenum. It is also used as a remedy for colds because it has a diaphoretic effect and contains mucus compounds that have a protective, coating and softening effect (soothes cough, sore throat, hoarseness).

Lime can be found in shops in the form of teas and dried fruit. You can make an infusion of the dried fruit - put 1 tablespoon of dried linden inflorescences into a glass, pour boiling water and leave for about 20 minutes. Use linden tea three times a day, after a cup, between meals.

Cat's claw

This herb may have immune-boosting properties. It also contains antioxidants, i.e. compounds that neutralize the effects of free radicals.

Animal studies show that certain alkaloids in cat's claw may reduce inflammation, slow the heart beat, delay tumor growth, and possibly lower blood pressure. People who have problems with pressure and are taking medications should check with their doctor whether they can consume herbal infusions.

It also has side effects - mild rash, lowered blood pressure, sleepiness and diarrhea can occur.

Doctor's calendula

This herb is well known in Poland. Calendula has anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antispasmodic and cholagogic properties.

Calendula tea can be successfully used for inflammation of the stomach, liver, duodenum and intestines. To prepare a calendula tea, just two teaspoons of dried water should be poured over with boiling water and set aside for a few minutes to brew.

For sore throat - calendula gargle!

Yes! Calendula gargle works well in the case of inflammation of the mouth and pharyngitis. To prepare the rinse, pour one tablespoon of dried marigold flakes with a glass of boiling water and let it brew, covered, for about 10 minutes, then drain. The rinse is ready.

Camomile

Chamomile has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It is great at dealing with throat infections, oral fungal infections, and gingivitis. Interestingly, it is recommended in the case of conjunctivitis - you can make compresses for the eyes.
