Does the National He alth Fund refund a rehabilitation bed or other equipment for a person after a stroke with left side paralysis who is completely dependent?

The rehabilitation bed is not refundable. However, it includes an anti-bedsore mattress and an anti-bedsore pillow.

The anti-bedsore cushion can be reimbursed once every 2 years, the price limit is PLN 100. However, once every 3 years, you can take advantage of the reimbursement of the anti-bedsore mattress, the price limit is PLN 550. Doctors authorized to issue orders for the issue of an anti-bedsore pillow and mattress are: a primary care physician, a doctor with a 1st degree specialization in medical rehabilitation or a general rehabilitation specialist or medical rehabilitation specialist, a rheumatologist, a surgeon - a doctor with a 1st degree specialization in orthopedics and traumatology or specialist in orthopedic surgery, orthopedic orthopedic surgery or orthopedics and traumatology, or orthopedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system, neurologist.

On the other hand, people interested in purchasing an orthopedic bed should report to the local Poviat Family Assistance Center (PCPR) or the Municipal Social Assistance Center (MOPS) in their place of residence. The privilege is available to people with disabilities who have a valid certificate of the degree of disability. People who have not benefited from similar assistance in the last 5 years may apply for financial support for the purchase of a rehabilitation bed. After accepting the application, the applicant signs an agreement with a representative of PCPR or MOPS, which lists the detailed rules for granting co-financing (maximum grant amounts, settlement method, task completion date). Only after signing it, it is possible to purchase the requested equipment. The maximum funding for this purpose may be up to 60% of the cost.
