In one of the tips I read that if the break in he alth insurance exceeded 3 months, an additional fee should be paid. What if less time has passed? Then you can insure yourself without any obstacles (additional fees)? I am asking because I was insured at the employment office, but I was unable to sign the attendance list and I did not do anything about it, I was removed from the unemployed list. After 3 visits to doctors, I noticed that I was not en titled to he alth services and then it turned out that I did not have insurance. I would like to add that I am a learner and I have been insured for several days with one of my parents. What should you do in this case?
The question is probably about the situation of voluntary he alth insurance. At the time of submitting the application for voluntary he alth insurance, the period of time that has elapsed from the date of expiry of the previous insurance title is counted.
If the break is shorter than 3 months, the person interested in voluntary insurance does not have to pay any fees. Any additional information can be found on the website of the National He alth Fund.
If the break is longer than 3 months, the conclusion of the contract depends on the payment of an additional fee to the NFZ account. The amount of the fee depends on the period in which the voluntarily insured person was not covered by he alth insurance and amounts to: from 3 months to a year - 20% of the income assumed as the basis for the assessment of the premium - in Q1 2015 - PLN 810.74; from one to two years - 50% of the income accepted as the basis for the contribution - in the first quarter of 2015 - PLN 2,026.86; from 2 to 5 years - 100% of the income taken as the basis for the contribution - in Q1 2015 - PLN 4,053.71; from 5 to 10 years - 150% of the income accepted as the basis for the contribution - in Q1 2015 - PLN 6,080.57; over 10 years - 200% of the income accepted as the basis for the contribution - in Q1 2015 - PLN 8,107.42.
In the case of a student who is insured with one of the parents, the problem of voluntary he alth insurance practically does not exist, because it applies to people who are not covered by the he alth insurance obligation. In the case of a student, he alth insurance may be provided by the university where the person studies. As for the situation in whichthe person used he alth services, but was not insured, may be required by the National He alth Fund to pay for the benefits.
