The reactions of your two partners are absolutely natural, because each person is slightly different. Sperm can and often be found in this "droplet" of the former, and in a large amount of mucus in the latter. That is why it is worth taking care of effective contraception. The so-called intermittent intercourse (the man "pops up" before ejaculation) is no method. It is for the reasons described by you.
