The cause of cystine stones is an excess of amino acids in the urine, therefore people struggling with this type of kidney stones should limit their protein intake to 1g / kg / day. With cystine stones, the basis of the diet should be dairy and plant-based products. Meat and its products should be limited.

Diet with urolithiasiscalcium phosphate

With calcium phosphate urolithiasis, the menu should include products with an acidifying effect: fish, meat, honey. From cereal products, wholemeal bread, oatmeal, bran and coarse groats are recommended. Foods that should be restricted include eggs, milk, cottage cheese, legumes and canned fish. Foods to be absolutely avoided include spinach, sorrel, rhubarb, chard, legume seeds, strong tea, natural coffee, chocolate, cocoa, concentrates of soups and sauces, spicy spices and alkaline mineral waters.

Diet with struvite urolithiasis

People struggling with struvite urolithiasis, or phosphate-magnesium-calcium, should reduce the amount of phosphate in the diet, so limit the consumption of milk, coarse grains, nuts, chocolate, cocoa, legume seeds, canned food, meat, fish, offal, egg yolks, as well as processed and matured cheeses. It is recommended to include vegetables containing magnesium (e.g. corn), juices and citrus fruits in your diet.
