Oallergy bedand the entirebedroomshould be especially cared for due to the ubiquitousdust mites. These arachnids cannot be seen with the naked eye, but they can be felt particularly acutely twice a year, when they reproduce intensively, i.e. from April to May and from September to October.

They are everywhere - inbedding , upholstery, and most of all in dust. They like mold, grease left on furniture that is touched with bare hands and, most of all, flaky skin. Every night we lose 1.5 g of it - this amount can be eaten by up to 100,000. mites.

When they forage, a person withallergyget tired of shortness of breath, dry cough, runny nose, skin irritations and conjunctivitis. Mite droppings contain guanine, a substance that is a strong allergen. Together with the dust, it settles in all corners of the bed, but also floats in the air, which is why it is so difficult to get rid of.

Hypoallergenic bed - bedding preferably made of microfiber (microfiber)

The most annoying mites are at night. This is because the microclimate under the duvet is conducive to their activity. How to defend against them? Start by thoroughly cleaning the mattress, pillow and duvet.

After careful vacuuming, they can be washed at home or in a specialized laundry. Exposing them to harsh sun or frost will also be effective (mites die in both high and low temperatures).

Then put on the sheets. The best is microfiber - light, durable and pleasant to the touch. It allows air and sweat to pass through, but mites and mite excrements will not pass through.

Regular bed linen needs to be changed every four or five days. It should be pure cotton so that it can be washed at a temperature of at least 60 degreesC.

Allergy sufferers should not use starch, because it is also a delicacy for mites. The best bed for people prone to allergies is a wooden frame with a latex or foam mattress. Usually it comes in a fabric cover that can be machine washed even at 90 degrees C.

Hypoallergenic bed - what duvet and pillows?

Bedding filled with polyester-silicone granules is good for allergy sufferers. In terms of elasticity, it is not inferior to down or wool, which cause allergies.

Linen made of artificial fibers is popular because it is light, fluffy, airy and does not deform. It can be washed in a washing machine. Even after many washes, it is still resistant to the penetration of mites and their droppings.

It is equally important that it does not absorb moisture and provides very good thermal insulation regardless of the temperature in the room. It can be said without exaggeration that such linen breathes freely, thanks to which the skin does not sweat at all.

Allergy bed - dust mite spray

Unfortunately, we cannot always replace the entire bedding at once. However, we can effectively protect ourselves against mites by systematically using a special agent - allergoff, an aerosol preparation. Effectively kills mites and eliminates their droppings.

You need to carefully spray it not only on the duvet, pillows and mattress on the bed, but also on all upholstered furniture in the bedroom.

After 15-20 minutes, when everything is dry, you can already put on clean bed linen. It is also worth taking the preparation on vacation to repeat the same treatment with the bedding found there.
