- Put washed, dried and wrapped leaves in the refrigerator for a few days;
- cut the cooled leaves into cubes, pour them into a glass vessel and knead;
- the resulting juice with pulp put in the fridge for a few days;
- after this period, strain the juice through a strainer;
- put in a dark place. The juice is ready to eat after a week of aging.
Recipe for tincture of livebeer
- Finely chop the leaves and stem, then put in a jar,
- pour 40% vodka and close the jar tightly (in the proportion of one part chopped leaves and three parts alcohol),
- put in a dark place at room temperature for 2 weeks,
- after this periodstrain and pour the tincture into a bottle. It is ready to eat in this form

Ingredients:
- 40 ml of livebear juice,
- 60 g lanolin,
- 0.25 g of a bacteriostatic drug (e.g. Furazolidone),
- 0.25 g of anesthetic (e.g. Novocaine).
Mix all ingredients together. The ointment prepared in this way can be used for treatment

- allergic skin reactions,
- insect bites,
- mycosis of the skin and nails.

Melt approx. 10 dkg of fresh lard (without any additives) in a pot. Then let the hot lard cool for a minute and keep it warm. Then mix it with 1 tablespoon of strained juice. Leave to cool down. Rub the prepared ointment on the affected skin. Important! The ointment prepared in this way is not sterile, therefore it should not be used on open, infected wounds.
A recipe for eye, nose and ear drops from a livebear
To prepare the livebear eye drops, crush the leaf and squeeze it through sterile gauze. The juice prepared in this way should be applied to the eyes, one drop, twice a day. Thanks to this, we will get rid of the burning sensation and "sand" under the eyelids. The drops prepared in this way can also be applied to the nose (using 2 drops twice a day), in the case of a cold or inflammation of the nasal mucosa. In the case of infectious Eustachian tube inflammation, 2-3 drops should be applied to the ears.
