Thanks to them, mumio shilajit was used in Ayurvedic and ancient Greek medicine. Currently, it is also used in alternative medicine - as a remedy for strong bones, strengthening immunity, digestive system problems, potency and many others. Research shows that mumio may contribute to lowering blood sugar levels. People with high sugar levels were given mumio extract for 3 weeks. After the end of the experiment, it turned out that the postprandial glucose concentration decreased by an average of 26 units, and measured fasting - by about 15 units. This is due to, inter alia, with antioxidant and anti-radical properties of humic acids, which protect the pancreas against damage caused by the toxic effects of free radicals.
